Chef Rebecca Tip!! - January
January 12th, 2021
Buy local and organic for this year’s Thanksgiving Feast. Freshly harvested produce tastes much better, is more nutritious and is way more eco-friendly than produce that is harvested from around the globe and shipped to us by rail and truck. Buying from the local farmer’s market and produce stands not only helps support your local economy but also might make you some great new friends who are out working tirelessly to grow organic, sustainable food that both we and the planet can live with!
Making homemade holiday decorations will not only save you money (and time shopping), but also is a great way to spend a few quality hours with the entire family.
The options are endless: paint gourds, table arrangements using those left-over pumpkins, corn cobs, dried flowers, nuts and twigs, pinecone turkeys; place cards made out of dried leaves; napkin rings made out of string and acorns; among many other fun and creative eco-friendly homemade decorations!
